Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about podcast editing, process, turnaround times and working with Big Tent Media.

  • To get started, I’ll need the raw audio or video files, a brief outline of the episode, any relevant music or branding assets, and a clear deadline. If there are specific sections you’d like tightened or removed, just flag them - otherwise I’ll use my editorial judgement to shape the episode.

  • I work with WAV and high-quality MP3 files, as well as recordings from platforms such as Riverside, Zoom and SquadCast. Multi-track files are ideal, but I can also work with mixed recordings where necessary.

If you’re unsure, feel free to ask before recording.

  • Turnaround depends on length and complexity, but most standard episodes are delivered within 48–72 hours. Tighter deadlines can often be accommodated with advance notice.

Clear timelines are agreed before work begins.

  • One round of minor revisions is included as standard. These are usually small editorial tweaks or adjustments.

Additional revisions can be accommodated where needed, but the goal is always to deliver an episode that feels finished and ready the first time.
