Every Sound Tells A Story

Suze Cooper - Audio Journalist & Podcast Producer

With a background in journalism and extensive experience working with major media outlets, I specialise in transforming news and editorial content into compelling audio experiences.

I started out as a junior reporter at the Medway News, learning the craft of writing a good local news story. From there I went to the Kent Messenger Group where I spent a few years working as an assistant news editor, before stepping into the studios of kmfm ultimately taking on the role of news editor.

It was there I learned the art of audio storytelling and developed a sharp ear for detail. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading brands like Amazon, Sony Music Entertainment and McDonald’s helping to craft compelling audio content that connects with listeners.

From my home studio I provide freelance audio production services to publishers, newsrooms and media outlets. My work ranges from on-the-day shifts to project work, keeping me busy with researching and scripting stories, recording interviews, editing and mixing.

I’m driven by a commitment to quality and creativity. I love experimenting with sound, finding new ways to engage audiences, and ensuring every project is crafted with precision and care.

I specialise in:

  • podcast editing - dialogue cleanup, mixing, mastering

  • video podcast editing - talking-head videos, multi-camera edits, social clips

  • sound design - subtle atmospheres that support the story

  • full production support - from planning to publishing

  • audio journalism - editorially aware editing for newsrooms

  • remote recording support - helping you capture clean, usable tape

My work is grounded in clarity, empathy, structure and strong editorial instinct. Whether I’m shaping a narrative feature or removing rustles from a Zoom recording, I approach every project with the same level of care.

Clients say I bring:

  • Calm, reliable delivery

  • Fast communication and zero fuss

  • Strong editorial judgment

  • An ear for rhythm and flow

  • A steady, dependable presence in busy production cycles

My goal is always the same: to help you sound great with the least amount of stress possible
