Award Win For The New Statesman And Big Tent Media

This week, I was proud to pick up the Commercial Strategy Award as part of The New Statesman team at the Publisher Podcast Summit. It’s a brilliant recognition of the creative, editorial and commercial thinking that’s gone into the show over the past year.

Over the last 12 months, I’ve produced partner podcasts for The New Statesman with Uber, Coca-Cola, Health Equals, Centrica, AWS and more - taking each show from brief to final deliverable. That means inviting guests, aligning diaries for studio and remote recordings, supporting scriptwriting, crafting the edit, and writing the show notes, all while balancing commercial priorities with the New Statesman’s tone of voice and editorial standards.

Just because it’s sponsored doesn’t mean we skip the storytelling. Each episode still has to earn the listener’s attention, deliver real value, and fit within the kind of journalism New Statesman subscribers expect. I’m really proud of the work and thrilled that it’s been recognised.1
